I don't really draw myself that much, but if my mind goes blank I work a quick sketch in sometimes just to keep the pen moving. I kind of liked this one for it's "hirschfeldiness".

A Happy Medium

I've been trying to find a medium between the crisp, "cut out", shape-constructed characters that tend to look a little too flat and "tweeny" when animated, vs. more lively illustrative characters that retains a little more of the life of the original sketch. Here is a new character as seen in the original, lively sketch; the loose digitally sketch model; and as vector-based model constructed with a series of shape and layers.
